Cell Phones & Electronic Electronic Devices
This policy is for the use of cell phones, laptops, and tablets (iPads).
- All electronic and communication devices must always be set in silent or vibrate mode while on club property.
- Voice calls are permitted only in the Men’s and Ladies’ Locker Rooms, lounges adjacent to the locker rooms, and in the parking lot (away from the Clubhouse, not in the driveway circle area).
- The use of cellular phones in voice mode is prohibited on the golf course, pool deck, tennis patio, and dining areas.
- Discreet use of cellular phones for texting only on the golf course is permitted.
- The use of handheld devices on silent mode may be used by the children of members or guests.
Smoking
Smoking and vaping are prohibited in all indoor spaces including the clubhouse, paddle hut, and Racquets Pro Shop, as well as the entire pool facility. Outdoor smoking is prohibited in dining areas or areas where families and children gather.
Pets
Dogs or other pets are not permitted within the clubhouse unless they are registered service animals.
Clubhouse Attire
The Patterson Club dress code is designed to be comfortable for, yet respectful to, all members.
The following items are not permitted in any area of the clubhouse:
- swim or pool apparel
- hats for men or women (except to and from locker rooms)
- tank tops
- midriff-baring tops or tube tops
- ripped, torn, faded, frayed, or distressed denim
- cut-off shorts
- cargo shorts or cargo pants
- sweatpants unless approved PC sports attire.
The following items are permitted in the clubhouse:
- Men and Boys:
- tucked-in collared shirt unless the shirt is designed to be worn un-tucked
- jeans
- all approved PC Racquets and Golf attire in all areas of the Clubhouse
- blazer or sports coat
- A blazer or sport coat is required in the Banks Dining Room during dinner hours on Saturdays for all gentlemen ages eighteen and over.
- Women and Girs:
- appropriate shorts, dresses, skirts, and pants
- all approved PC Racquets and Golf attire in all areas of the clubhouse
- jeans
In the Banks Dining Room "Business Casual" defined as long pants, jeans, collared shirts, dress shoes, and appropriate women's attire, is required at all times. On Saturday nights jackets are required for gentlemen ages eighteen and above in the Banks Dining Room.
When outside the pool area, including parking lots, all members and their guests must wear a shirt or cover-up over their pool attire.
Tennis Attire
The tennis attire policy requires the wearing of predominantly white tennis clothing. Bathing trunks and suits, jeans, cut-offs, jogging shorts, gym shorts and t-shirts are not permitted in the tennis area. Predominantly white headgear may be worn. People not appropriately attired will not be allowed to use the facilities.
Pool Attire
Guests in bathing attire are restricted to the terrace area immediately surrounding the pool. Proper attire is required for walking to and from the clubhouse, the golf area and locker rooms, or tennis courts. In accordance with Club rules, denim jeans are not allowed in the pool area. Guests shall wear respectable bathing attire.
Golf Attire
All members and their guests are requested to adhere to the Club’s Dress Code while on the golf course, the practice range, and the putting green.
General
- Proper golf shoes must be worn on the course at all times; footwear must have a low heel and either a rubber sole or soft spikes.
- Tennis attire is not permitted on the golf practice areas or the golf course.
- Denim jeans, cargo (sewn on exterior pocket), basketball shorts, sweat suits, non-golf exercise attire, and/or short shorts are not permissible golf attire.
Men’s
- For men, shirts should have collars (of either blade or traditional style) and be tucked in. All men’s shorts must be Bermuda length. Men’s bottoms must have belt loops and be tailored for golf. Belts must be worn when using the golf facility.
Women’s
- Women’s sleeveless tops must have a collar (of either blade or traditional style). Women’s short sleeve tops are not required to have a collar; however, they must be tailored to golf (no tee shirts). Women’s tops may not have a plunging neckline. Halter, tube or tank tops, and open midriffs are not permissible golf attire. All women’s bottoms must be of appropriate length. This includes shorts & skorts. Leggings can be worn as a layering piece. All women’s dresses must be of appropriate length. If the dress has sleeves, it is not required to have a collar. If the dress is sleeveless, it must have a collar (of either blade or traditional style).
Pace of Play
The Patterson Club requires members and guests to play a stipulated 18-hole round of golf in 4 Hours and a 9-hole round in 2 Hours.
Golf Etiquette
The first section in The Rules of Golf (USGA) covers Etiquette - all members and guests should familiarize themselves with that section.
In the interest of all golfing members, each has an obligation to observe the rules & etiquette of the game. Adherence to these rules and common courtesies will result in making the game more pleasant for everyone. The more common rules are nothing more than good manners. For example:
- Leave the green promptly as soon as the last player in your group has holed out.
- Invite the following players to play through when a ball has been lost or when it becomes obvious that they are faster players. You must call the following group through when there is a full hole open in front.
- Smooth out all marks that you have made in the bunkers.
- Replace divots and repair ball marks on the greens.
- Help and counsel your caddies in their expected duties.
- Play the course in proper sequence.
- Unless otherwise indicated, always park your cart between the green that you are playing and the next tee.
- Play ready golf. Always be prepared when it is your turn to play.
- Golfers using a golf cart must drop the farthest away player at his/her golf shot area and then the cart partner must move the cart to his/her ball to be ready to hit a shot in sequence. Or the player that is nearer the hole can leave the cart for the farther away player and walk to his/her ball with a golf club(s) to hit a shot.
- Upon hitting a golf shot the player should drive to the next shot and/or golf cart partner's ball. Replace golf clubs into the bag only upon arrival at that next point. This will help with pace of play.
